Portofino - a real paradise of Italy
Portofino is one of the most beautiful places in the Mediterranean. This small town, located in the province of Genoa, is part of the Italian Riviera.
The amazing story of Portofino. According to the scriptures, this city was founded in the 8th century by the Romans and then it was called the "Port of the Dolphins", probably because of the large number of dolphins swimming nearby. Today the most wealthy people live here. Even a small-sized "simple" house is estimated at 1,000,000 euros. The population of this resort town is not more than 500 people. This is a real earthly paradise on the shores of the Ligurian Sea.
This lovely Italian village attracted tourists with picturesque landscapes, warm sea, it is here that the most beautiful and unusual plants are concentrated. Portofino is also the owner of the blue flag for its purest sea water, in which you can see iridescent fish of different colors, and dolphin packs, you will not be disappointed. Here came the famous writers, actors, singers. Ernest Hemingway, Guy de Maupassant, Sigmund Freud, they all rested in this bay.
The central square of Portofino is called Piazzetta. Surprised us and the fact that the center of the resort town is completely banned traffic, and you can freely walk and view all the sights. There are a lot of greenery, flower beds, beautiful bright flowers, olive groves that complement the idyllic picture.
Portofino is famous for its magnificent climate, it is very soft, sunny and warm, and even in winter it is not cold, and low rainfall makes your holiday enjoyable in any weather. You can safely say that this is a real paradise.
Good bye Portofino! We are already sailing away, but we will always remember your beauties!
