Cooling Down in Duddingston Village
This scenary brings back so many lovely memories. It's the same old view, but always charming. At this time of year in Scotland it can be cloudy and wet, but today there was a little respite. After a few days off from running and a couple of weeks away from exercises my body is feeling much better, I was able to enjoy my 7 mile jog around Holyrood park and take in all of the wonderful views. The hills are still covered in yellow gorse from spring and the breeze carries a coconut scent. Kids are still at school, meaning the landscapes are more peaceful to explore. These photos are from the secret garden on the north east shore of Duddingston Loch in Edinburgh. It is situated in the shadow of a dormant volcano and is home to a range of animals including deer and otter. What better way to cool down after a run?
Nice post... But, now that you are living in Moscow, shouldn't you be comfortable with the metric system by now? Who cares about miles? Where we live, we have kilometres. 😂
Haha, a nice mix of imperial and metric in the UK! As a former runner, it's easier to pace in miles though :)
