MASSANJORE---A SCENIC BEAUTY DESTINATION

I, my sister, my geologic friend, that is the whole crazy party become unstable to get out after spending continuous 3-4 months monotonous routine life. Where to go, it is difficult to decide. With my sister’s help the guest house of the Youth Department of West Bengal govt. a house was found at Massanjore.
One morning, taking leave from the office everyone went out of the house for Massanjore. On the road side we had our breakfast with potatoes and kachuri.

The warmth that was being found in the morning of the ‘sravan’ month was reduced to a pleasant breeze. Our Guest House was in a huge place. Two-stored house, three big rooms in the ground floor, four beds in each room. There is a room above with AC. In front of the house there was a garden. Seasonal flowers are cultivated. There was a large dining space adjacent. Large TV with cable connection. Many beautifully decorated sofa sets in the dining room.

There are people there, which will be said to cook on the cost. In the afternoon, there were a lot of fun with capturing so may beautiful pictures of the dam and the children were playing on the side of the bank of the dam. We saw some men were catching fish far away.

On returning to our guest house everyone were sitting on the dining room with hot snacks. It feels good to be hot, but not like a house.

HOW TO GO: It is 40 km from Siuri. Similarly 77 km from Santiniketan (Bolpur); 50 km from Sainthia; 60km from Rampurhat.

WHAT TO SEE: Massanjore dam and Nearby hills. If there is time and if you have a car, then you can go to some other places. Nearby there is an indigenous settlement named Lampa where some handicrafts are purchased.

There is also a very nice government accommodation
