My travel- From Florence to Limone sul Garda! 18/365-day blog challenge
Hey Steemit!
As promised my recap of our fantastic travel-day. This time however, I wanted to try something new. I decided to make a sort of picture-summery style, with less text and more pictures (and more fun?!)! As they say: "A picture is worth a thousand words"!
So, let me know what you think about this?
And without further ado!
We visited Florence!
Accidentally we took the wrong road, and entered Florence from high ground! This provided us with the most amazing panorama-view. So, we could not resist to stop, and make some classic iphone 5s pictures!
We parked the car in the outskirts and tried to walk to the city center. This was not the hard, because we could easily follow the massive Dome!
At around 01:30 p.m. it was cappuccino-time (As you can see, we almost reached the Dome)!
And there she is, the massive Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore. A marble masterpiece straight out of the renaissance.
When visiting Florence you can easily see that it is one of the world's most inspiring city, with a rich history full of art! Even the street-art is of incredible high levels!
And behold Palazzo Vecchio, the town hall of Florence. One of it's many historical and architectural highlights!
Of course we could not leave without seeing the world famous Ponte Vecchio! A medieval stone arch bridge over the Arno river, which still has shops build along it (mostly jewelers, art-dealers and souvenir shops).
At around 04:00 p.m. we decided to continue our journey to the beautiful Limone sul Garda, were we arrived around 07:30 p.m. Check out the view from our balcony, not bad right?!
Thank you all for reading my post (or in this case, viewing my pictures haha). Tomorrow my dad will become 50! And we will be celebrating his birthday here in Limone! Therefore, I am expecting to have little time for an extensive blog, and I am planning to do an other photo recap! I hope you guys will like that!
