A Visit to Lobo Beach, Batangas

Lobo is a municipality in the province of Batangas and is about 145 kms (90 mi) from Manila. The town is located near the southern tip of Batangas.

Lobo has its fair share of scenic views. The stretch going to the resort offers a relaxing view of trees and rice fields. After an exhausting nearly 5 hours of commuting, we are finally just a few steps towards the beach!

Submarine Garden Resort is a resort situated in Brgy. Sawang, Lobo, Batangas. We reserved thru Lea Marasigan who was super accommodating. Good vibes!

We rented a fanned Bahay Kubo located just a few steps to the beach. I do not really set high requirements when it comes to my travel accommodations. I am perfectly fine with basic amenities.

The contrast between the green trees and the blue sea is breathtaking!

Do not expect white fine sand here. The beachfront is a bit rocky but still very beautiful.

The ocean floor slopes gradually. Just few meters from the shore, you can see blue starfish and more! It was my first time to see an actual starfish.

The tide went low in the afternoon. We walked few meters away from the resort and we discovered this magnificent spot.

The view is breathtaking! It was like we were suddenly brought to another place.

We figured we are also in a perfect spot to watch the sunset. So we waited for about 30 minutes and we were not disappointed. Awesome!

There is no nightlife here. There is no wifi and the signal is bad. Perfect place if you want to detox from social media.

Our meals were pre-ordered and served in the pavilion where they also provide free water and iced tea. The food package includes heavy merienda, dinner, breakfast, and lunch.

The cool breeze and relaxing view of the beach made us enjoy our meals even more. The food choices are limited and simple. Do not expect elaborated presentation here. Notwithstanding, the food is tasty and satisfying.

The service is fantastic! They are very accommodating, attentive, and friendly.

I am super glad to have met Lobo. It is not crowded as other popular beaches in Batangas. Head on to Lobo if you are looking for a place to stay away from the crowd.
