Atlantis is a resort located in Nassau, Bahamas. While it is a hotel, it's most well known for its waterpark. There are extreme water slides with long drops; one with a nearly vertical drop for more than 60 feet that ends with a ride under a lagoon filled with sharks! Whether or not you're into extreme waterslides, there are also over 10 swimming pools.

Below is a photo of where one waterslide ends. It imitates a secluded cave, open at the top with a waterfall and an aquarium tank with fish swimming just a few feet over.

Outside, there are also salt water pools with dolphins, sea rays, turtles and fish. Some of the pools you could see from below through glass like an aquarium. Others you could pay to get in the water to swim with the animals.

Additionally, there was access to the beach from the resort. Unfortunately, the water was too rough so we didn't go swimming. But the Bahamas ocean water was so blue!

There's something for everyone at Atlantis and really awakens your sense of adventure. Its much more than just a waterpark, and not just for kids!
