Planning a winter adventure in Russia

in #travellast month

I’m considering a winter trip to Russia, but I don’t want just a typical city experience. I’d love something unique—maybe dog sledding, ice fishing, or even seeing the Northern Lights. Has anyone done a winter adventure tour in Russia? Would love some recommendations!

You’re in for an amazing experience! Russia in winter is magical, and there are so many unique ways to explore it. I did a winter expedition to Karelia through BigCountry.Travel https://bigcountry.travel/ and it was unforgettable. We rode husky sleds through snowy forests, stayed in a cozy wooden cabin by a frozen lake, and even got lucky enough to see the Northern Lights one night. It was the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. They also offer Arctic tours if you want something even more extreme, like visiting Nenets reindeer herders or driving on frozen rivers. Definitely worth looking into if you want an unforgettable winter trip!

That sounds absolutely perfect! I wasn’t sure if Karelia would be the right choice, but the idea of husky sledding and seeing the Northern Lights makes it sound amazing. I’m definitely checking them out. Thanks for sharing your experience!
