RE: Prague/Czech Republic - Monday photo challenge - share your personal pictures from your visit to the Czech Republic!
Statue of Nicholas Winton with two rescued children. Winton was a British humanitarian who organised the rescue of 669 children, most of them Jewish, from Czechoslovakia on the eve of World War II in an operation later known as the Czech Kindertransport. The statue was installed on the first platform of the Prague Central Train Station in September 2009, on the 70th anniversary of the last Kindertransport to leave the city.
Such a cool statue with an awesome meaning behind it. I can't wait to travel to The Czech Republic and see all these little treasures that you guys have there.
