you want to travel.....consider Saint Lucia the paradise on the earth....

in #travel7 years ago (edited)

this post i would like to talk about one of my great travel/study abroad experiences from 2013 to 2015. i will tell you the rough and harsh trip from the MB_Home_Desktop-1.jpg of my life and how i got to here in another post but on this one i would like to discuss what was going on there and how the people and the country was treating me during my 2 years stay in there. i would like to first put an introduction and then i will tell you what else is there to explore

saint lucia is a carebbean island in eastern part of the caribbean sea and in the middle of atlantic ocean. i lot European people consider visiting the country because of it beautiful weather as well as its great landscapes and beaches. most of the time people from europe and northern america travel there during cold weather so that they can take a break from the cold weather in their countries. the best beach that i have ever met in my entire life is called sugare beach located in the caribbean borders of the country. bellow is few pictures of this beach. The official currency is the Eastern Caribbean dollar, which is linked to the US dollar at US$1 to EC$2.70. You can also pay for most items with US dollars, and hotel rates are quoted in US dollars. ATMs issue EC dollars. The island is 27 miles long and 14 miles wide, a total of 238sq miles.
English is the official language, but Saint Lucians speak a French Creole commonly called Patois.

. woww isnt that amazing. anytime i look at the pictures i feel like i have to go there over and over. unfortunately the heavy school duties didnt allow me to go there as much as i wanted to but i should say i made it to there for few time and any time i was going there i wouldnt want to come back.
there are two mountains sorounding the beach called pitons. thats also the brand name of a special local bear (if you like bear you should try it) which i as a nondrinker was the number 1 fan of this drink.
there is a resort next to this beach the you can refer to the the link below and book it for your special occations like honeymoon or graduation party etc.

the price was ligit to me but some people mayfind another place to stay for cheaper.
there is another resort called LADERA RESORT.
wooooooww its amazing as you can see on the pictures how the rooms will look like.

there is a city called rodney bay which you can find cheaper resorts as well. but you wouldnt have the view you just saw on the pictures. Rodney bay is the more civilized part of the country but doesnt mean that other parts are really bad. i was leaving in a city called veiux fort which my school was there and the international airpport called hewanorra airport is located in this city as well.a_services.jpg
it has direct flights from UK as well as northen america which i will put the map as well.
t8191753_orig.pngickets are not very high as some seasons and you can manage your travel with around 400 dollars round trip tickets from northern america.
they drive on the left side of the street just like UK so make sure if you are renting a call you have to drive it on the other side which is a little risky till you get used to it. Vehicles can be rented from the airports and hotels, and booked in advance through travel agents and car rental offices. You will need a temporary driving permit, purchasable from the rental company for approximately EC$54/US$20. A four-wheel-drive vehicle is a good idea.
food prices are almost like U.S. if you want to go to the fancy places but regular restaunarnts is almost half of what you are spending in the U.S. people are very nice and friendly but we have good and bad everywhere. so make sure to keep it friendly and if someone asks you for the money or any favor just politely let them know that you cant help them. they are understanding enough. i say this in case you dont want to help but if you want to show you gratituity GOOD JOB its your money and your belongings.
