Cambodian Villa or Heaven on Earth? (Golden Temple Villas in Siem Reap)

Landing in Siem Reap, Cambodia was the most pleasant surprise. The airport was so clean and welcoming, it felt like a tropical escape. And that’s just the airport!!!

Our villa’s driver was waiting for us outside of the airport with cold water and cold beers. I already knew this was going to be a great stop.

We got to the lobby of the villa, and calling it a little slice of heaven is an understatement. The decor was tasteful, beautiful and true to Cambodian heritage.

They provided us with a welcome tray with delicious drinks, sticky rice, fresh fruit and refreshing cold towels.

After devouring our drinks and snacks, they led us to the room that was decorated with fresh flowers everywhere. If you know me, that’s a huge selling point! They were spacious and brightly lit, making me excited to unpack.

The pool was gorgeous, with lounge chairs, a swim-up bar, and a nice waterfall. It was relaxing but inviting. I spent a few hours in there during the evening, and watched the sunset from the pool.

The hotel also provided a FREE dinner and FREE breakfast to all 4 of us. The dinner was catered to our vegetarian diet, and was traditional Cambodian food. Breakfast was a huge buffet with lots of variety.

To top it all off, they have a SPA that’s incredible. Not to mention, the staff at the villa was the most helpful and friendly crew I have had the pleasure of meeting. They even lent us a local phone so we have a way to contact them if we got lost.To say the least, this villa had thought of everything and more to satisfy every single guest.

I absolutely recommend the Golden Temple Villa in Siem Reap, for the most wonderful experience.
