At the Atal Bridge

When I was in India, and I visited my sister's place, my nephew one day told me that he wants to take me to one very interesting place. I asked him what is this place and he said, it's a surprise. He has a scooty so I hoped on and went with him. With the amount of enthusiasm, he showed I thought he was taking me to some very exciting place, and then he brought me to this place called Atal Bridge. When I looked at it, my only reaction was to bash him up, because it was just a normal bridge that been built in the recent times.

Then he said, wait, let me take you to the point I want to show you, and he brought me here. And then I was a little surprised, at one point of time, this whole place was slum area and now it has been converted into a beautiful garden and walkway and that's what he exactly wanted to show me. I was feeling good looking at the place, because all my childhood I have seen this place filthy and full of garbage and now it looks something like river Sienne types. There is a boat ride also available in this place. We did not take that, because we did not have much of time at hand. We sat here admiring the beauty of this new old place.

I took some pictures. The walkway that you see was a garbage landfill some years back and now it's converted into a very nice walking and cycling path.

That's the whole of Atal bridge from a distance, at night time there are colorful lights and it really looks beautiful to watch from far.

It was hot and we could not sit for a very long time; after spending some time here we headed towards the flower garden which was also on our things to do for that day, and at the end of it I was feeling good about watching this place :-)
