Quito: Plaza Grande

This is the Palace of the President and the Government in Quito, Ecuador. They raise the flag every Monday, and unlike in other countries, this is a very vibrant event in this Latin American country.

Not only tourists, but local population and horse-guards attend the flag raising as well.

At ordinary times, the area is just a normal square for anyone to use.
