Last Weekend In Travellers Paradise

in #travel7 years ago

Nandi Hills is one of the favorite destinations to escape on a weekend in Bangalore India. We all wait for the weekend and the moment it arrives, friends, plan and escape are a must for many of us. It is indeed a traveler's paradise and is a complete trip. Nature, food, sight-seeing and amazing views will make your weekend relaxing as well as satisfying.

Last weekend I went to Nandi Hills and it was a memorable experience. we were a group of four friends and traveled in our personal car. We started around 2 AM from Whitefield, where one of my friends stayed. We did not get sleep as we were eager to see Nandi Hills.

The road was calm and serene and we took the Hebbal flyover. It was a smooth drive and we had packed coffee and snacks with us. It was pitch dark in the night and some vehicles were moving on the road. Throughout the way, we were chit chatting about everything. Finally, we crossed almost 20 hair pin turns to reach Nandi Hills which was amazing. It is approx. 60 km from Whitefield. We parked the car in the parking lot and by 4.30 AM we were on the hill.

We were waiting desperately for the sunrise and our coffee and snacks helped us survive the time. However, to our bad luck, the weather was cloudy so sunrise became out of question. However, there was dense fog and that made our day. Nandi Hills looked amazing along with the fog. It is a rare sight to watch the dense clouds passing by and one actually feels like standing on the clouds. It was breezy and spine chilling cold there.

We stayed there the whole day. There are different places within the hills to see such as the huge Nandi which is believed to fulfil your wishes, Tipu Sultan’s palace, gardens and view-points.

Also, small food stalls are there where you can get breakfast, lunch and tea. Only thing is beware of monkeys!! Our day finally came to an end at 6 PM as we drove back to Bangalore post sunset. It was a refreshing experience and Nandi Hills is actually one of the few places in Bangalore where you can spend the entire day.
