Let the Road Trip Games begin… How do you want to experience America?
Please look below because I want to tell my story and get advice on how to help others.
My name is Scott Kintz and my wife Mia and I are taking our second trip in our new RoadTrek RV. We just purchased it on a impulse with out much time between finding out about it and pulling the trigger.
Why did you do that?
On a recent trip we saw these really cool looking large Mercedes vans driving around that looked like a cross between a delivery van and a RV.
We finally saw a couple that just got out of one and stopped them to talk to them about it. They rented it for two weeks; They told us "You can pull over on a rest stop and take a nap or pull into a camping site and sleep for the night without having to pay for hook ups and have all the mess, Just be a tent but not have to set anything up."
They said "These things are 100% self contained solar panels, cooking shower and a toilet they are great for boon docking and are much smaller then conventional RV's but have all the things one, two or maybe three people need for a road trip".
My wife looked at me and said "We need one of those".
Two weeks after coming back from Yellow Stone we found this in our driveway.
First off this is the perfect way that Mia and I love to travel, car hiking and road tripping is what we do best. Second we ran the numbers and determined this is the best use of the cash we have on hand. We are looking at turning liabilities into assets so i will explain more on that later.
So we put the down payment on this thing and drive it home.
So now we have a opportunity to make a change in lifestyle to make our new investment worth while.
How do we pull that off?
I am lucky because we are finally set up for a lifestyle business. My co-workers and business partners are really ok with making changes to fit our lifestyle and the type of business that we are running.
So now we have the RV and we have the time at least 3 days per week to travel for now. So we are heading out on our next venture and I will post what we see do and find along the way. We are spending the remainder of our summer getting in as many road trips as possible.
Venturing off and not knowing the itinerary is fun exciting and adds a sense of chaos to the adventure of the journey. I hope that you will follow along and look for our travel posts because we are going to be contributing back to the Steem community in a positive way.
Building and contributing to the sharing economy is what i am about. I am discussing with my wife how this is a great opportunity to be on the cutting edge of a new way of doing business. Doing, teaching and sharing is what we hope to accomplish here.
Here are three questions:
If I were to run a contest or free raffel to win a
weeks trip in our RoadTek would anyone be interested? Is there anyone using Steem as a currency for trading goods and
services yet or would bitcoin be a better commerce choice on the platform?Does Steem have the function or API to run a fair raffle or contest
function from it?
Here are some pictures from our second trip to the Eastern Washington where we just got back from on Saturday.
Thanks Scott Kintz
