Wintering in Spain 2017/18 .... Part 3
Today on 26.11. if we have only one stop, the last one, then we have arrived in Villajoyosa. The day starts normally, getting up, putting face in the water, brushing your teeth, making sandwiches for the journey and storing everything safely.
The sun is shining, the streets are almost empty, it's Saturday ...
So go to the parcel. When I get into the car I see that our friends Renate and Walter have already welcomed us. The two are slowly approaching the 80 and have been hibernating here for over 30 years on the Costa Blanca. Fifteen years ago, the two of them have leased a fixed plot of land at the Villamar campsite in Benidorm and have their caravan there all year round. The two arrive in mid-October and stay until the end of April. They are a valuable support and counselor.
We now move into our parcel, many friends of the past years are already there and welcome us with a loud Hola. Kisses here, handshake there, somehow you get home ...
The shunting on the parcel has gone quickly with some cursing and the help of the neighbors. The mover engine has completely stopped its service. Some strong men push and pull the 2.5 to caravan to the right location. The rest is fully automatic. We bought a level system in the summer. This hydraulic system automatically sets the caravan in balance and supports it safely. I can use the time to connect the electricity.
After we settled down and had lunch there our way to the beach was. The is only 100 meters away from our pitch and gat also a 500m long promenade. The weather is beautiful, 18 degrees and sunshine. That's the way it stays.
"Anton" has already made the first acquaintance with our neighbors and they are happy that he is so well educated and so much fun. Not a day passes when "Anton" is the first to be greeted and he is already well known by name on the whole campsite. It will probably take some time until all of us know our names. But we dog owners must come with it "...
Today, on 27.11. I want to build our awning. For the next few days, they have reported changeable weather. And so that I do not have to stow everything in the car or in the caravan, there is an awning. We bought a so-called air time 3 years ago. This tent does not require any poles and we only hold it with the help of inflatable air cushions. The advantage is .. it is set up within 15 minutes, but the pegs hit then but still needed 30 minutes additional and I can build this tent alone without further help.! The pitch is roughly graveled with rocks and Marion has difficulty getting ahead with the wheelchair. The penultimate stay we bought thick rubber mats and this designed as a way and as a terrace. Tipp Topp. Unfortunately the mats are "awfully" heavy, but we can store them here at the campsite until the next use.
Walter called us in the evening and asked if we would like to make a trip on Wednesday to Oliva. That suited. Anyway, we had some campsites as an alternative anyway. So we agreed.
