Sedona - Don't Ask the Exact Meaning of Vortex, Seriously-

Hi guys!

I am going to post a series of articles on my Arizona trip :)
In Jan 2018, I went to Sedona, Antelope, Horseshoe Bend, and Death Valley. While the nature was so beautiful, I had some fun, interesting, and weird experiences.
Please let me share my stories :)

"Sedona Has Vortexes."

I heard "vortex" many times.
But, I was wondering what is a vortex?

I love science, and my understanding/hypothesis before visiting Sedona are here.

It might be something good for your health.
Iron oxide contained in the sands of the mountains might positively affect human bodies.

I really wanted to know the exact meaning of Vortex and decided to ask this question when I met my tour guide for Antelope.

This was a mistake.

”What Is Vortex, Scientifically?”

I went to Antelope by using a tour service from Sedona because you cannot enter Antelope without a tour guide.

The trip was very smooth.
I enjoyed the amazing view from the bottom of the canyon!
(I will post this story in Antelope later:))

When our guide finished her explanation and said,
“Do you have any questions?”
I thought this is a good opportunity to ask my question about Vortex.

I asked,

"Could you explain the exact meaning of vortex scientifically?"

Can you guess what happened next?

Suddenly, she got angry.

I can’t remember her words exactly because she spoke too many things and too quickly. But I can remember she said “this is spiritual” “mysterious power” “energy from space” “new age” “UFO” again and again....

"I Have a Following Question"

I was totally confused. What did I do? What was wrong?
Then, I, a silly Japanese woman, asked the following question.

“Well, does it means vortex is cosmic radiation?”

What happened?

She got furious!!!

I realized I made a huge mistake and stopped speaking, but could not stop her from speaking about New Age. Can you imagine the atmosphere in a tour bus?

Don’t ask such a stupid question.
This is what I learned.

みなさん、こんにちは！

今日から、年始に行ったアリゾナ旅行の様子を投稿していきます。

アリゾナって、アメリカのちょい西よりの砂漠地帯。
サボテンとかはえてて、西部劇にでてきそうなエリアです。
日本でも、セドナ、アンテロープあたりがあることで有名でしょうか？

さて、今日はアンテロープに行ったときにおこったできごと。

アンテロープはとっても素晴らしかった！
こんなところが地球上にあるのか、と感動しとにかく写真を撮っていました。
（アンテロープ自体についてはまた後日）

と、楽しかったアンテロープ旅行♪

ですが、、、

何かが狂い出したのは、アンテロープ見学が終わり次の目的地に向かい始めたあたりでしょうか？

アンテロープってガイドさんが必要なんですよね。

英語ツアーいっぱいってことで渋々割高な日本語ツアーに申し込んだのですが、まぁこのガイドがとにかくよくしゃべる。
延々とアリゾナへの愛を語っていらっしゃったのですが、話がひと段落した頃でしょうか。

「何か質問ありませんか？」

と聞かれたんです。

実は私、セドナには"ボルテックス"なるものが存在することを調べていたのですが、それが何かはよく分かっておらず、とにかく何か心身に良いものだと思ってたのです。

セドナで登山する際の解説には、”セドナの土には酸化鉄が多く含まれている” と記されており、さてはこの酸化鉄が何か良い効果を発揮してるんじゃなかろうか？とか山登りながら仮説を練ってたわけですよ。

そんなわけで、意気揚々とこの仮説をガイドさんに聞いてしまったんですよね。

私、大馬鹿野郎。

神秘性を否定され怒り出したガイドさん。
ここから二時間超に渡り、怒りの説教をくらうことになったのでした。

ガイドのお姉さん曰く、

ボルテックスは右巻きと左巻きがある
神秘的な力だ
宇宙からのエネルギーだ

この辺りから、他のツアー客が、登山中にお尻がビリビリした、カテドラルロックで憑き物がとれた、ベルロックはパワーが強すぎて足が重くなった、などと体験談を語り出す。

どうしよう。

怖い。

機嫌が良くなったガイドさん、実はセドナではUFOや宇宙人がよく目撃されるんです！と驚きの展開へ。
曰く、

宇宙の文明は地球より遥かに進んでいる
12次元の世界に生きている
癌なんて簡単に治る、宇宙人に攫われたら癌が治った人がいる
世界のセレブと政界の要人には共有されている常識、知らないのは我々だけ
　
いや、じゃあなんであんた知ってんだよ？？

まぁとにかくそのあとも、ニューエージ (スピリチュアルやら宇宙との一体化を掲げる世界的な宗教的団体) への勧誘やら、宇宙人の話に戻ったり、宇宙人のイタコしてくれる人の話になったり、宇宙人の癌治療の話、ボルテックス、癌、ボルテックス、イタコ、ボルテックス、癌、ボルテックス、宇宙パワー、癌、ボルテックス、、、、

そんなわけで、セドナのホテルに戻った頃にはアンテロープの絶景は記憶から消し去られたのでした。

カメラが発明されていてよかった。

というわけで皆さん、
ボルテックスは頭で理解しちゃだめ。

心で、感じましょうね！
