Among the historic structures built in Bengal during the Mughal period, Lalbagh Fort is situated on the bank of Buriganga, Dhaka, one of the most important archeology. The rule of the Mughal regime in Bengal in the 17th century, the Lalbagh Fort in the historic area of architecture development.

Shaista Khan could not implement this instruction of his son, because of his special family. There are several types of rattan behind this. According to many, Shaista Khan lost his daughter Iran Dukhat during the construction of Aurangabad Killa or Lalbagh Fort. Who was the wife of Azam Shah, the first architect of building the fort?
That is why Shaista Khan believes that the Golden Temple is a folly. So he did not move much further in building an incomplete castle. Although Shaista Khan's unheard of arrogance was seen in the construction of the fort, he made the mirror of his daughter, Iran Dukh, a spectacular establishment. To build the shrine, Shaista Khan brought many more important materials including white marble, basalt, sandy stone from different parts of India.And the combination of these was made from Lalbagh Kella's one of the most spectacular spectacles of Bibi or Iran's Dakhate Mazar. Apart from this shrine, there is a bathroom, a mosque, pond, and garden in the Lalbagh Fort. Even though the rule of the whole of Bengal was under the Mughal Emperor, Emperor Aurangzeb donated the Lalbagh fort to Shaista Khan as the memorial of Shaista Khan's daughter. The next descendants of Shayestakhan used to lease the fort to the government and get 60 rupees annually.

The cantonment was shifted from Purana Paltan in 1853 to Lalbagh Fort. The fort also has a special role in the Sepoy Revolution of 1857. The fort is now marked as a protected archaeological site. It is in the jurisdiction of the Principal Doctrine Department of Bangladesh Government to preserve and maintain it. If you go to Lalbagh Fort, you can go to Gulabashan Golapshah Mazar at Tempura only at Tk 6, in Lalbagh Kellah.With the two temples of Islambagh and Kolla, you can always go to Lalbagh Fort throughout the day. Apart from the New Market or Gulistan area, it can be taken directly from Rickshaw to Lalbagh Fort. The rent will be 30-40 taka. And there is a special bus service for people interested in visiting Lalbagh Fort for 10 rupees in front of Bangladesh National Museum (Shahbag).
Also, those who want to visit the fort at low cost can go to Sadarghat Bhaya Gulistan Golap Shah Mazar. Rent only 5 taka Gulistan will cost only 2 taka Then you can walk 5 minutes walk from the Dhakeswari temple or go for 10 rupees rickshaw at Lalbagh Fort.
