Venezuela: Actually a Paradise (Part 1)

Hello everyone!

Venezuela is a misunderstood country. It may have a financial crisis, and a lot of social problems, but while traveling around my country since I was 2, I've noted that it actually has lots of beaches, mountains, and amazing views and places to visit.

The beaches in Los Roques are famous for being very blue, with white sand and an amazing weather. Because for the people of Venezuela is too expensive (thanks to the bad economy), you won't see a lot of Venezuelan people going around there apart from the Los Roques native people.
The "cayos" are filled of amazing restaurants, hotels, clubs and different kinds of entertainment, and of course beautiful beaches and cool people. Definitely a place to visit if you're coming to Venezuela

Even though the tourism in Venezuela has declined 53% Anzoátegui is one of the most important Venezuelan states in what tourism respects. Divided in five cities: Puerto La Cruz, Guanta, Barcelona, El Tigre and Lechería. Barcelona is where most of the population lives, the city has various PDVSA complexes, an airport, baseball and football stadium, and a core of the Universidad De Oriente.
Puerto La Cruz (literally Port of the Cross) has one of the most important ports of the whole country, because Anzoátegui is the central of the oil and petroleum company: PDVSA and also serves as the port for the ferrys to Margarita Island.

Lechería is the most touristic city of the state, it has beautiful view, lots of restaurants and buildings and plenty of malls. Some people even call it "The Venezuelan Miami". In Cerro El Morro there are buildings being made and almost everyday is a party; in El Morro there's a place called Fortín de la Magdalena, build in 1799 to protect the Neverí River from the English and Dutch pirates. It even has an artificial island called "Isla Paraíso", that serves as a luxury residence

Maracay, my city. The Garden City. A beautiful city, now damaged for the crisis. But it has some amazing beaches to visit, malls like Parque Los Aviadores (165.000 square feet. The second biggest mall in the country), plenty of parks like the Santos Michelena or San Jacinto and monuments to different fighters of the Independence. The Cathedral, Cata Bay, Bolívar Square and many others are of the most famous touristic spots in the city.

Venezuela may have problems right now, but I can say that we are a nation proud of ourselves, our amazing food, our culture and all that we have achieved as a country.
