@Steemit: Rainbow Warrior Tour 2018 #CLIMATEJUSTICE – “You can sink a SHIP but you can never sink a RAINBOW”
Rainbow Warrior Sail Ship docked at Port of Tacloban
For 40 years, the Greenpeace Rainbow Warrior has sailed the world for the people and for the Planet. On the year 1985, it was bombed and the boat sink but as what they said, "You can never sink a RAINBOW”. The sail boat may have sunk but their ideas and advocacies will never fade just like a rainbow. Now the rainbow warrior 3 provides a beacon of hope for a green and peaceful future.

RAINBOW WARRIOR TOUR 2018
Before we reached the sail boat for the tour, there was an opening program at a mini bar near the Astrodome. Presentations and Messages were given by the staff.
A group performing their originally composed song to entertain the participants.
I was so curious why this dance duo is pouring paints to the floor and making their outfit so messed up. They could have just dance to the fullest yet they somewhat enjoy the pouring of paint to the floor until they finished dancing and that was the only time I realized they weren’t just dancing, they are also PAINTING
It was when they lift the board and I saw their artwork. All I can say about what they’ve done is, AMAZING. They duo was truly a remarkable partner.
We also wrote names of our love ones who died during the onslaught of the super typhoon Haiyan to a lace and tied it to ship like structure. They said it was for them to sail to heaven directly and let their soul be in eternal repose.
Laces tied to the ship-like structure.
After some talks and presentation, we then move to the spot where the sail boat is docked to start the tour proper.
The 3rd rainbow warrior boat that sails to different country in order to advocate climate justice and stop other illegal activities that becomes a big threat to our environment
Those were only some of the pictures I took during the tour because I was busy listening to the guide. There were Filipino crews on board and other nationality were also present.
The sailboat was not that big yet it is fully equipped with everything a sailing boat must have. The tour guide told us that it was 2nd hand boat and they don’t use chemicals to clean it in order to avoid damage to the boat and also to reduce water pollution.
This picture really caught my attention.
This is a whale shark “Butanding” in the Philippines. It is a filter feeder that eats only krill yet you can see that its mouth is full of trash and plastics. I asked our guide why this happen and he just stares and throw me back the question with a grin on his face.
Then I realized it was still “US”. The reason why this happens. We throw plastic to rivers that are carried to the ocean and are unintentionally eaten by the marine fauna’s. It is still “US” to be blame for this happening.
An amazing women fighting for Climate Justice.
It was only the event during the 1st day since we weren’t able to attend the following 3 day event. Being able to attend such tour is another eye-opening reality that everyone must embrace. It is happening and we cannot change what has happened yet, we can still figure it out how we can help to stop.
