Travelling in France by train 🇫🇷 🚄 : Bordeaux station under construction

in #travel7 years ago (edited)

About to take my train in Bordeaux, I just took out my camera to shoot that high-speed train leaving the station. The station basically is a gigantic glass hall in the Eiffel tower style. Workers were just above our head, cutting metal pieces. I love to train in general, the mood in stations is always interesting. It's a crossing place, nobody wants to stay, but everybody has at least at some point. People behave very differently when they are waiting, you can guess their spirit while watching. That's a thing I like to imagine.

I highly recommend travelling by train through France, stations always give you access to the city centre. Even if French people complain about t, it's still a pretty good service, with very comfy seat and great stations to visit. rain being late. Actually, there are several good aspects, you always can get quality bakery, lunch around the stations. In high-speed trains, you even have a bar inside with wine, food champagne.
