Troja castle, view from the vineyard, Prague
The castle was built by Count Šternberk in the Baroque style at the end of the 17th century. His garden was an example of a Louis XIV-style French garden.
In 1922, the last private owner donated the castle and the extensive surrounding land of the state.
The extensive exhibition of paintings of the City Gallery Prague is now located in the castle. There are a zoo and a botanical garden on the surrounding grounds.
