Menton
The Cote Dazur is the best place to relax if you want to fly from the cold weather in Europe. I really like Menton which is a small city next to Monaco. You have a petit LaFayette there and the promenade is filled with restaurants and you can enjoy a great walk
So this part is called the French Riviera, many Italian Friends have a house in Menton and go to "France" when they want to have a different feeling within Minutes after going over the border. I enjoyed a Crepes with Creme de Marron, which was awesome.

I used to live in Diano Marina in Italy, and once ended up in Menton after taking the wrong train. Unfortunately I didn't venture too far from the station though. If you have a chance, check out the Italian side on the same train line. My favourite place is a very small village called Cervo if you are looking for a hidden treasure...

Next time you are in Diano Marina stay at the Delle Mimose. My friend Christian owns the hotel and he is a genuinely nice guy. He's half English as well, so he can help you with any translation issues while you are there, and recommend a few places to go as well. The Macaroni restaurant by the seafront is one of the best pasta restaurants I've ever been to as well

Nice opporunity you have there, I love crepes but here in Indonesia they only have the standard such as chocolate or banana cheese. Perhaps it will be in my bucket list, thank you for sharing
