#TRAVEL: Kaamulan Grounds, Bukidnon
Kaamulan Grounds
What I love about Bukidnon is its natural beauty the enormous pine trees surrounding the hills and beautiful scenic views from left to right. It is a majestic paradise. I always adviced every person I know my “no-sleeping-policy” when travelling to Bukidnon. Who would want to miss a majestic view, right?!
Since, I don’t have much photos during the roadtrip cause I only commuted during the whole travel, I’m gonna show you the eye-catching and enormous park of Malaybalay City, Bukidnon. The beautiful and lively Kaamulan Grounds is a huge public park in Malaybalay where families do various of activites and citizens or government host festivals, sports fests, and other events. It’s a fun place to be embracing nature and enjoying a good time with loved ones.
After the long duration of travel, I finally arrived to my favorite place in the Philippines the Bukidnon Province. Well, commuting is not that annoying and tiresome when Bukidnon’s my destination by just looking out the bus window and the places I passed along the way gives an instant healing to my wounds. It is an ABSOLUTELY no-sleeping-during-travel zone.
When I reached Malaybalay City, my friends and I directly went to Kaamulan Grounds. It was my first time to see such gigantic park. I was amazed by the scenery before me. The trees were waving at me showing off their nice lively green leaves and the calm grass calling me to lay down on nature’s bed.
As we lie down the bed of grass, surrounded by huge tall pine trees and the sight of it’s vast mountains, the sun peeked at us and waved with it’s bright shining beams. The clouds greeting us with their peaceful white fluffy forms. And from that moment, we knew that the surroundings were happy to have us.
It felt like winter has fallen in Bukidnon. The place provided a cool atmosphere that gave us the feeling of relaxation and peace. The air was very fresh that it did not have any trace of smog. I had the greatest time as the wind blow kisses at me and made my hair danced with its breaths.
Kaamulan park wouldn’t be complete without its horseback riding activity. The horses were beautiful. I envied their shiny silked hair as it dances along with the wind. It was joyous to watch the children ride the horses and stayed in line for the next turn. It’s priceless seeing their precious smiles and expressing their joy gave a hearty meaning for us.
We took a walk at the grounds of Kaamulan Folk Arts but ended up on a top hill to rest our sweating feet and complaining shoes. However,
the view from up the hill had so much beauty. The pine trees surrounding us taking their stand as they exclaimed the toughness of their branches and elegance of their lively leaves.
Mindanao has so much to offer that would give a more exciting adventure and healing either for the locals or tourists. Bukidnon is my home and a place full of surprises. A place for healing and escape from the busy streets of the urban jungle. It is paradise that gives warmth to the soul and breaks the chain that imprisoned us from freedom and peace.
For me, Bukidnon is a great place to heal the wounds that kept us from standing our ground. With just a glimpse of its landscapes and vast mountains, it stimulated me a feeling of satisfaction and freedom. I can’t wait for more adventures in the Province of Bukidnon. I hope that people would eradicate their fear of my hometown Mindanao and immersed themselves with its beauty and culture.
