Learjet 35 getting fueled up pre-flight and our Captain.
Ready for take off! Approx. 1 1/2 flight time from Miami-Cancun.
Arrival at Cancun hospital ICU. Patient is a 59 year old female: Acute hypertensive crisis also has psychiatric history and a language barrier which didn't help she had been intubated three days prior and extubated only a few hours before your arrival. This troubled me because there is not a lot of space to do a procedure like intubation on that Learjet. Thankfully the patient was stable enough without me having to re-intubate prior to our deprture.
Enroute back to Cancun airfield via local ambulance.
Arrival in Bowlingreen, KY transferred patient into local EMS unit.
Patient transferred to local hospital ICU.
Our Captain had hit his service hours so we stayed in Bowlingreen the night and ate at this amazing restaurant called "The White Squirrel" sorry I didnt take pictures of the food. It was southern style cuisine with a modern twist and excellent locally brewed beer. Sorry I didn't take any pictures of the food 😩
The next morning at the Bowlingreen airfield they had a tour going on with some very old WW2 and Vietnam era air craft.
