My journey starts! The first days in latin america 1
As I explained in my last steemit post I travel around in latinamerica right now and I want to share my experiences from the first couple of days. After a 20 hour trip I finally arrived in Costa Rica at the Airport close to San Jose. The first thing i recognized was that it was really hot and I need to get used to that after the long winter back in Europe. I took an Uber to my hotel and had already a nice conversation with the lady that was driving me. Later I should find out that it's not normal at all that people speak english in latinamerica :) When I arrived in the Hotel it was still pretty early in the morning and they told me the checking is at 2 PM... So i had like 7 hours to overcome. I had no idea what to do so I did just put my drone and some water in my backpack and started walking up the hill.

That was the hotel where i slept the first 2 nights to acclimate and get rid of my jetlag.
When i was walking around i saw all the time that cars where stopping next to the bus station and picking up people that where waiting for the bus. My thought was, oh what a nice community everybody helps everybody :) so at some point i thought alright i want to try that. The next time a random car stopped i said "hola" and sit inside. An older woman was on the backseat and was talking to the driver in spanish. I was sitting next to the driver and tried to understand something. But i didn't had any spanish classes before so I had no chance to understand something. When the women left the car I did finally realize that this is not for free because it's a so called "colectivo" like a cheaper kind of taxi. Because i didn't even had a destination to go and also almost didn't understand anything that the driver wanted to tell me I just made a handsign that he should leave me out right next to the road and i walked all the way back to my hotel.
At one point while walking around in San Jose I suddenly found this fucked up police car and that was the moment when I found myself really welcomed to this new continent i have to explore :)
Thanks for reading and I hope you will read my next post aswell ;)
I'm happy with every feedback or questions about my journey or me.
