Rainbow village nearby Taichung city, Taiwan

With this post I would like to start publishing the materials I have produced while living in Taiwan (2013-2014) as it is very colorful and colorfulness is what I miss now in winter.

In suburbs of Taichung city, which is in central Taiwan, some time ago was the residental area for soldiers and their families. But time goes by so most people moved out of there. But when government dicided to destroy this village, people still lived there didn't want to leave the place, so 86 years-old (now peolple call him "rainbow grandpa") painted some illustrations on every single house there to save this village from pulling down.

Now the village became one of the popular tousism spots in Taichung.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if all the villages looked in that way?

Transportation to the rainbow village from Taichung TRA station takes about 1 hour. You have to take №29 bus (just cross the street underground when departed at train station and you will see Taichung Bus Station). The stop you need is the last one (Lingdong Technological University). Then just keep going about 5 minutes and you will see the houses
