When trapped by the rain in a foreign country...Make new friends!

These were a few of the pictures I got to take on our scooter ride through Kota Kinabalu, Penampang because we were constantly getting rained on, and honestly, it was an amazing experience. I'll tell you more about it in my next post, and also how we got lost and ended up on top of a mountain.

This is a bus stop we had to stop at, because the road in front of us looked pretty much flooded, and it conveniently had nails on where we could all hang our very wet helmets.

These two cool guys were also trapped by the rain and made the wait so much easier and fun. As it happens, they were on their way to the same festival that we were, "The Harvest Festival".

And this is the background we had from the bus stop, I thought it peaceful until they told us there probably were tons of alligators in there! We were so close they could've just walked out to greet us.

After about 40 minutes or so, the rain seemed to be stopping so we hopped back on the scooter to follow our day-trip.
