Whistler - Olympic Village of Vancouver
Traveling makes our life more intense and brighter, even if it's just a short trip somewhere close to home. Thank Vancouver, which is so well located among the mountains and forests and has so many incredibly beautiful places around, not requiring to go somewhere very far to see it all.
One of the most amazing places in the vicinity of Vancouver - Whistler - it's an Olympic village, known for its Olympics in 2010.
The road to Whistler takes about 2 hours, but it is completely not heavy and is full of a lot of beautiful places: the highway runs along the ocean and you can admire the opening views almost all the way: the ocean and the mountains.
On the way to the Olympic village, you can make a couple of stops in the national parks and look at the waterfalls. But it's better not to stay too long - the most interesting lies ahead.
The Olympic Village is full of people even in summer - even though it is a ski resort, but there are a lot of vacationers - these are bikers who use the slopes for their extreme tricks, but the open patios of summer restaurants that allow you to enjoy a delicious waiting with a beautiful view of the mountains.
We bought tickets for the lift and went to conquer the summits in the summer - it's worth it, the lift is called "Peak to peak 360" and allows you to climb to the very top of one mountain and take the cable car to the peak of a neighboring one. Within 30 minutes of the rise, the temperature and the surrounding nature change radically - from the summer heat to the bottom of the mountain to the snowy peaks and the piercing wind at the top. Snow and drifts in the midst of summer heat, can you imagine it?
Very good post with awesome photographs of beautiful nature... Thank you for sharing a good post... @glebmanik..
