The path to Roraima Mountain
To walk this path to Roraima Mountain was like to walk the path of life itself.
It isn't straight and despite many times people talked me about it, it wasn't like i imagine it. I never spected Will be like that, even when i saw lots of pictures of roraima before i start this Journey. This path also offer some alternatives. There were alternate routes that may seem easier, but they also have their challenges and many times you do not see what is behind the hill and you have to move on to discover it.
Many times i walked alone but i also walked with company, someone hold my hand during the difficulties.
I shared my water many times with other walkers, knowing the nature with its kindness will offer me more in the next river to continue.
When i reach to the top was sunny and the landscapes amazed me. When the time to go back came, i found out we will have a heavy rain. I saw the same places with a different beauty in my way down. The landscape changed, and i felt inside so do i. This way i discover that things can change and remain beautiful.
The River grew and to cross i had to go into this waters, I got wet but i didn´t care too much, i felt the strenght that renew me inside this deep dark waters. I notice the river was different but so do i.
I got lost, i had doubts about the way, i also felt tired and fell several times, but when i was in The floor i took the chance to rest and stand up With optimism and motivated to keep moving.
My bag was heavy. I know 8 kilos seems like it is not too much, but for me was a challenge to walk With it around 7 hours a day during a 8 days of hiking.
At the end i was very proud about myself doing it because in my group there was around 8 woman and of them i was the one Who was travelling alone carring my own bag. The other girls had a man Who helped them but i saw this as a lesson. Some days i also wanted someone Take my bag for me, i Wont deny it. But this heavy belongs to me, and as in life i can´t expect someone else take it in their back for me during my journey.
The Last day when we have to return i Wanted to reach the finish line that evening, but during the walk it got late. The day became night. I felt a bit scared and i felt uncertain because i didn´t know how many km i have to walk and there was no one around me. But i turned on my light and with the faith in each step i went into the darkness, knowing that at the end of this road i will meet with joy in the base camp those with whom i shared this wonderful and beautiful journey
