A Justified Absence...
A Justified Absence
Steemit became part of my life, from my day to day. Describing my experiences through this Social Network for all my friends is something for me, verdamente pleasant and exciting; besides reading each one of the posts of the beautiful and eloquent people that I follow every day ... those precious STEEMIANS, that make my day fill with joy, sadness, fear, emotion with each of their stories, opinions and anecdotes .
However, I had almost two months of attending this medium that filled my life with many positive things ... And right now I am going to describe the Reasons:
1. The Situation of my Country: My Adored Country Venezuela is going through an extremely strong crisis, at this moment I do not intend to delve into this topic, since there are sufficient means through which the different news should reach all of you, I do not want to be repetitive and extremely tired. I will speak only of the personal part. This crisis has led my family and me to think for the first time of leaving our native country.
My beautiful mother @luanat, administrator with many years of experience, worker since age 16 (to have and achieve all your goals do not you think?), A tireless fighter and always taking me forward; with his house and his own car, but ... he had a paltry salary that only allowed him to pay the basic expenses of the house; We all know that in Venezuela they are very low (you pay very little light, water and services), could not afford luxury, buy a shirt and also every month should put money from their few savings to spend each day .
My beloved husband @ blancokarl, worker since the age of 14, never knew what it was like to be without work, Musician and Guitarist (very good, according to my humble opinion ... hahahaha Will it be Love?) Working lately as a teacher of Private Guitar and earning approximately what for three months ago was four times a minimum salary or more. Anyone can think that 4 minimum wages was too much, because NO in Venezuela is not.
And finally my Person @erikatassoni, also a very small worker, few people would believe me since 9 years; Teacher of Music in a very good College of Caracas and simply my retribution was more sentimental, for the love that lived within that School; what economic The salary of my husband and mine no longer managed to eat 3 people ... and even less 5 because our family is also made up of my mother-in-law and an exceptional child.
2. A Huge Logistics: Yes ... it seems a little exaggerated, but it is not easy to spend 3 generations (My grandparents, My parents and I) to live in another country on the other side of the globe, I say three generations not because we all moved, but because that house had the memories of all of us and we obviously wanted to take everything with us. At the moment we made the decision that we should organize ourselves to leave the country, the questions come: What papers do we need? Where will we go? What do we get? What do we leave? Do we have enough money? we will do there? ... I just like to prevent events (as long as it is obviously possible) and I have been leaving my papers and those of my family for two and a half years just in case, at some point, as someone says ; we had to run. Thanks to this, most of the papers were made and that really was a well-traveled road.
What roles do we need ?: I answer to all those who need to leave their country. Acts of Birth, Marriage and Death of the direct members of the family. Studies carried out by each one. In the case of minor children and separated parents; curatorship, guardianship and custody, parental authority and ample power from the father who stays in the original country. Some countries validate it so it is better to apostille the Driver's License. In our case We also made one or two work letters as proof of curriculum and even social security contributions. (If you have any questions you can write me without problems in the comments)
Where will we go ?: My recommendation, choose a country where you have some facility (For example: some Citizenship, a direct family living there or where they offer you via internet or a transnational job opportunity.) I know people who have Colombian citizenship and decided go to Chile and you just have to take more time to organize the papers and be in order) in the case of not having it, choose a country that does not close the doors to the Venezuelan and that currently helps and welcomes. I have many friends emigrated and the countries that I will mention have received them very well: Chile, Ecuador, Colombia, Uruguay and Argentina from Latin America and Spain from the Europe area. We decided to come to Italy, because in spite of being Spanish too, my Mother and I have Italian citizenship and also here we had a beautiful family willing to help us.
What do we get ?: This question is difficult, even if it does not seem ... Definitely leaving is something that asks you to start over, but you never want to leave behind your memories ... your story ... The first thing we said we would be would be the photos of the family, because digitizing them all was something that we could not develop in a short time ... Little by little we made boxes and boxes of things that really we could need ... We brought in total 48 medium boxes of personal things ... but that really in the end we have not unpacked yet. My recommendation: if you do not have someone to leave things with at a first trial time interval ... Take yourself as little as possible !! but the things that are newer and that you know you are really going to use. It is AWESOME how we can store things in our homes and also how absurd it is to keep something for "LATER" or for a while, when we really do not know if we will be there for that time. How new things came out of the cabinets of my house! We are privileged and we complain; we also monopolize things without meaning. Relamente despite having brought 48 boxes ... emptying our old house was a liberation ... Since we gave who needed things that nobody used and this person would really use them.
Do we have enough money ?: Many people leave without thinking about it ... And it is really NECESSARY ... you should not venture if you have not yet got a base money to start over. In the case of Europe, to be able to cope with the first months the advisable thing is between 2000 and 2500 euros minimum and to live humbly, without wasting that money. Europe is beautiful and exceptional, but currently the labor crisis is making it uphill to settle here soon. What do I tell them! In America it is a little easier and quicker to get a job. Under the experience of other acquaintances, if you go in a group and start together, it is enough to carry between 1500 and 2000 dollars for the first months, in addition, the work is much easier to locate.
What will we do there? Open your mind ... you must be willing to do everything ... you are a foreigner even if you have Nationality and you must be known as a responsible, judicious, respectful person and who can be trusted, besides leaving the name of your country, well in Alto ... Work never denigrates ... Any work can be carried with pride ... You being a teacher, that's what they told me everywhere ... have you been a teacher for 10 years going to wash bathrooms? ... And I said: WHAT COMES !!!! That's how it was ... I got my first job here washing a bathroom that was closed for more than two years and it was disgusting ... The second job was chasing people in the street to give them an association card to a "free" Club but they had to buy something to get it ... The third one calling people I did not know, to offer them different services for their vehicles and that really ended up answering rudeness ... For now I'm still searching ... But there can be no discouragement, no sadness ... The best is yet to come!!!
3. The Time to Leave: Really for Me was the hardest part of all ... Saying goodbye to the people I love ... Seeing My husband separating for a while of his Mother and his son ... My mother say goodbye to my Godmother (one of her best friends), My beloved friends who have been family rather than friends ... How that part hurts ... is the worst of all .. To say goodbye to the country that saw you born from the window of an airplane and from an airport ... where Cruz Diez ... has become the image of he is crying ...
My beautiful friend @tliscano that I saw a few days before, but not enough ... Friends who are now here in this network and to whom I read ... some friends that I could not see for the race of those days, to say goodbye; as is the case with my Great Friends @nathyang and @lyepez. My beautiful @ indiperez02 that went to the final Mass and I could not take a picture with her ... And at all times my beautiful friends / brothers @danycaro and @malvarezmusic That took us to the airport and the hustle of disaster that there lives and the fall of the flight line, I could not cry for a while with them. Wowwww FRIENDS !! Those that life has given me ... All that I mentioned and some more ... A great and beautiful gift.
4. The Journey and the arrival: The trip was difficult and exasperating, they almost did not let us board the TAP Portugal plane, since according to them we had too many things in hand ; It should be noted that we had already gone through the reception of the Counter and we had informed. They forced us to enter last in the plane despite being trained first, just for the fact of carrying each one his wallet, suitcase and musical instruments. It was 9 hours to Portugal, and upon arrival there wait at the airport from 7 am until 3 pm to go from Portugal to the City of Milan. The flight also had a delay of one hour and we left at around 4:30 pm. Arriving at Milano at 7 pm. From that moment on they have been beautiful things, like the reunion with our family here, to know Milan that is a Beautiful City, to live the experiences of the First World ... hahaha a City full of Antiquity and at the same time of Technology ... but also sometimes sadness or melancholy to yearn for the affection of beautiful people ... and the longing for a stable job ... moments of fruitless interviews, especially those with the offer of ... all day of work for 400 euros, or. .. we pay you within 3 months 700 euros, when you really charge 300, for some discounts that are not even applicable ...
