Antoni Gaudi
Who is Antoni Gaudi and What did he did for architecture ?
Antoni Gaudi (25 June 1852 – 10 June 1926) was an architect from Reus, Catalonia. You can see his works in Barcelona, Spain. Last year I traveled to Barcelona and I fall in love with his works. It's like he was seeing the world different from us.
This picture is taken from Park Guell. It's a parkk with full of Gaudi's works such as houses, canals, benches.
He is a good example of modernism, he was inspired by oriental arts throught some artists such as Walter Pater, John Ruskin and William Morris.
Also in Barcelona streets you can discover his street lamps and monumental projects. I also highly recommand you to visit inside the houses for example Casa Battlò and Casa Milla. They are a miracle from outside but inside is also very fascinating. If your road ever crosses Barcelona, you must visit all the museums and monuments of Antoni Gaudi.
There is a peace of art I would call Sagrada Familia. This was his unfinished work but now famous architectures are on it! Antoni Gaudi's masterpiece is unfinished but still beautiful. He died while he was doing this church.
These are some of the pictures that I have taken during my visit. I hope you enjoy!
