WARNING: The use of images that are not your own on which you claim the ownership will be flagged - HELPING TO STOP PLAGIARISM ON STEEMIT
Hello fellow Steemians,
I hope you are all excited about the upcoming weekend! :) As usually, I am here with my daily photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below.
The best 15 entries of the day will get my upvote. I will then pick the absolute winner of the day from these 15 photos. The winning photo will be awarded with a bigger upvote and it will also be featured as the cover image for the challenge post the next day to give the author of the winning shot some more exposure and publicity.
Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words and let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.
There were many great entries submitted in the yesterday Prague/Czech Republic photo challenge and I had a hard time picking the best one. After a deliberate consideration, however, I decided to choose the following entry by @finance2nomad:
This is Děčín, a town in the Ústí nad Labem Region in the north of the Czech Republic. The town has a beautiful location in the valley of the Elbe river and its elevation is one of the lowest in the country (c. 130m). Děčín is furthermore surrounded by beautiful and diverse landscapes such as the Bohemian Uplands, the Bohemian National Park and Elbe Sandstone Mountains. Nearby, there is an important border crossing of the Elbe Valley railway en route to Dresden in Germany. Within the town, there is a nice castle and old town bridge to view.

I rewarded @finance2nomad winning entry with some extra upvote. Feel free to visit his blog and check out some of his other photos.
Thank you for your submissions. Have a great day and keep on Steeming!

For anyone that regularly visits this thread knows, I took a ton of photos when I visited Prague last October. Specifically, I took a TON of photos when I walked across the Charles Bridge because how can you not? This is another of those photos looking out from the bridge. Between the boats on the river, the stunning architecture, and the clouds, I think it's obvious why I love this city!
I am glad you did, they are all stunning!
Karlstejn castle after Prague Castle, the second best-known castle. Situated on the river Berounka between Prague and Beroun. You can reach it by train from Smíchov station. The place where this photo is made is hardly accessible and I've been looking for it for a long time.
This might as well be one of the best pictures of Karlstejn Castle that I have ever seen! I am definitely featuring you today! Tomas
I will be honored.
Earlier I posted a photo of Český Krumlov, one of my favourite cities in Czech Republic because of its beautiful historic center around the Český Krumlov Castle, an area which is designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1992. The town has many great spots and is definitely a must-visit. This is an overview photo I made from this colourful, small town.
Wonderful image, wonderful entry! Thank you so much for sharing. Tomas
I wrote about The National Museum last week, so for today I want to highlight event organized by the city - the Prague Museum Night. During this event museums and cultural institutions will open their doors to visitors at night. Held in June, the Prague Museum Night is one of the most popular cultural events in Prague.
Since Prague is a very touristic city, there are many special ways to visit the highlights of the city, one of them is with a horse coach. This photo shows one of these coaches, it is in the old Jewish quarters of the city. At the background the old synagogue can be seen.
I posted this one yesterday for Europe but it wasn't selected and if I'm not mistaken that means I can post it again and what better place than here for the Daily Prague picture.
Here is a photo overlooking part of prague. I took the pictures from a spot near Prague Castle. The Green Topped Building in the picture is St. Nicholas Church I believe. (Not the one in Old Town)
Good thinking:)....
Thanks for this post. I want to share this photo today and ı want to give some information about it..
Black Tower is one of the oldest building in Prag. You can still see the former gateway but it is walled up now.We come to Powder Tower from one of the places we like most in Prague. They used it as the starting point of the King's Way between the Royal Palace and the Castle of Hradčany, formerly the Bohemian king and queen of the coronation ceremony.Powder Tower is one of the 13 city gates in Prague. Built in the Gothic style, the construction of the building began in 1475. City council King II. He wants to make Vladislav a coronation gift. The first stone is again King II. Vladislav, but later in the city of the reign from the city to take advantage of the city for a period of eight years is given. The tower is called the New Tower (New Tower) at the beginning, but since it was used as a Barut store in the 17th century, its name changes as the Gunpowder Tower. The door is badly damaged during the Prague War. The sculptures on the cape were changed in 1876.
Thanks for reading.. @czechglobalhosts
Thank you so much for your entry! Fabulous.
This is picture is from Písek where there is one of the oldest bridgest in Eastern Europe! It was so great to see, especially since my Canadian boyfriend's family grew up in that area and I had seen so many pictures from there. This one is from when I finally got to see it with my own eyes :-)
Great to have an entry from Pisek:)... Thank you so much for sharing. Tomas
Pisek is lovely! Thanks for hosting an awesome photo comp :-) Josefine
Today I have prepared another photo from Prague. This picture was made under the Troja Bridge. This place is often visited by skaters and bikers thanks to fact that the bridge has interesting pilots. I can easily imagine that skate park can be there.
Hi! Today, I will share you the Old Town Square
The Old Town Square in Prague is one of the popular places where crowds of travelers gather with its beautiful architecture, historical background and lively atmosphere. The square has not changed much since the days it was founded in the 12th century and the city functions as a market place.
The square that hosts the Old City Hall and the Astronomical Clock which leads to the 1400's, is considered as the center of historical revitalization in the city. In 1915, a monument was added by the religious reformist Jan Hus.
To walk around at the beginning of the activities that you have done in the past, to watch the coming of a corner, and to examine the sculpture of Jan Hus, the church reformer in the heart of the square.
In addition to the historical buildings, there are various restaurants and cafes on the pavement, especially over the summer months, due to the fact that both locals and strangers prefer the square.
In the evenings, the square is filled with street musicians, demonstrators and tourists gathering to watch them, organizing fun events.
Travelers who recently visited Prague agree that the Old Town Square is a very ideal place to start a city trip.
So they think sitting in one of the cafes in the square is a very enjoyable activity to watch as they come and go. To get to the historical square of Prague you need to use the Staromestska metro station.
Thank you so much for your amazing contribution to my challenge! Truly appreciated. Tomas
