7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Asian Sunday week #25 – winner announcement!

@photofreediver Asian Sunday entry:

When I participated in an expedition on on the island of Sakhalin, the bay "Silent" which is in 150 kilometers to the north of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk became one of points of our travel. It has appeared the amazing place with the mountains, improbable on beauty, entirely covered with the juicy-green woods and the tender ocean washing the sandy coast. Absolute paradise for fans of quiet rest with tents, for fishermen and of course for photographers!

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Australian Monday week #25 – winner announcement!

@mibreit-photo Australian Monday entry:

So here is another entry from beautiful Australia again. This one is a view I found near Katoomba in the Blue Mountains. There are many viewpoints in the area, the most popular being the Three Sisters view. But if you wander along the extensive network of trails along the rim you can also find beautiful views like this, which you will have for yourself.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans week #25 – winner announcement!

@narchuk Tuesday of Antarctica and world´s oceans entry:

It was an amazing meeting in the Andaman Sea. Our group dived first and we were lucky to see one manta ray. But the current in that place was so strong that we spent all the air for about 20 minutes. As a result, we came to the surface at the same time when the second group just descended. And we managed to quickly change the tanks and dive a second time. The second dive was long and calm. This lasted about an hour. And at the very end, when we were about to emerge, I saw two manta rays in the depths. All I needed was for a quick dive and only 3 photos. Then I had to come up. It's amazing that no one else saw these manta rays. As if I imagined them)

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – African Wednesday week #25 – winner announcement!

@fjorenca African Wednesday entry:

When one thinks of the desert, images of yellow rolling sand dunes come to mind. The White Desert of Egypt is nothing like that. This unique scenery of tan and chalk-white landscape is dotted with alien shapes, boulders of brilliant white which thrust up from the surface of the desert. We camped in this dramatic landscape left by an ancient ocean, far far away from civilization.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – European Thursday week #25 – winner announcement!

@ansharphoto with the following entry:

Saint Stephen Basilica in the Morning, Budapest

Ecclesiastical buildings are almost always breathtaking, and this one is no exception. A large, intricate mosaic marks the entry to the basilica (it’s so beautiful that I decided to make it the focus of the shot), and the building’s interior is magisterial. The monumental size of the basilica is really only apparent from the inside, where various marbles and precious stones shimmer in candlelight.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – North American Friday week #25 – winner announcement!

@derekkind North American Friday entry:

Mount Assiniboine, the "Matterhorn of the Canadian Rockies", in British Columbia. Visiting Assiniboine requires either a long hike or a helicopter ride. I backpacked in and spent a couple of days in what may be the most spectacular part of Canada.

São Paulo is the largest city in Brazil and 13th largest in the world. I took this photo from the hotel where I stayed when I visited. The sheer number of buildings in this city is astonishing and was most noticeable to me in the plane as we approached and landed here. While Rio de Janeiro has the beach and fun, São Paulo is the financial and commercial heart of Brazil. The city's GDP would be ranked 24th as a country!

All entries are really amazing but ..Photo of Katoomba in the Blue Mountains view by @mibreit-photo is really amazing and one of favourite.

The Galapagos Islands have a volcanic origin. And all the current diversity and the beauty of the lanshavts on the islands still reminds us of ancient volcanoes, thanks to which the islands were formed eight million years ago. For example, in this photo we see the caldera of one of the jealous volcanoes.

Here are some flamingoes in Lake Hedionda in the highlands of Bolivia. I always thought of flamingoes as tropical birds and was stunned to see them in this partially frozen lake at over 4000 meters above sea level.

This is a wonderful photo. I really love it!!

Love the color combination! Surely these animals must have evolved to adapt up there!

Yeah, I don't know how they do it. The temperature was something like -20 at night while we were there and it didn't seem to bother them at all.

After crossing the border from Argentina to the Chilean village Chile Chico, I chartered a van with other backpackers to reach Puerto Río Tranquilo for the Marble Cave, and this is the view of Laguna Verde on the way. As its name suggests, it’s a green lake by a mining site that is powered by wind turbines.

The Venezuelan sunsets are beautiful, but one of the most imprsionantes are the twilights of the Bay of JuanGriego in the Island of Margarita. This bay surrounded by restaurants and historical places is one of the best known tourist destinations in Margarita.
This is the beautiful Cotopaxi volcano (Ecuador) with its 5897 meters of height, when it is clear it allows an exceptional shot, it is one of the highest active volcanoes in the world. And today I wanted to share it with you, I hope you like Tomas ...

On the "Margarita" island, the "Valdez" beach doesn't go unnoticed with its beautiful sunsets. Each day surprises us with its different tonalities. Every day there are many residents and tourists visiting the place, contemplating these natural beauties and, of course, taking photographs.

This is a beautiful sunrise on the Isla de Margarita, in the country of Venezuela. Specifically in a beach called "Parguito" is very visited by tourists and native people of the island, it is one of my favorite beaches on this island, I can sit and watch the sea for hours and I never tire of enjoying this spectacular view.

Hi! I took this photo from "El Corcobado" in Rio de Janeiro. You can see the famous "Pan de Azucar". It was an amazing expirience with lovely views.
This photo was taken with a sony compact camera.
