Hello fellow Steemians!

Welcome to my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Australian Monday - where the winner of the weekly round will be able to participate for the total of 200 SBD! Today, you can participate by submitting your personal pictures from your travels to the continent of Australia. I am also adding New Zealand to the same challenge as there were some concerns from other Steemians as to which continent NZ belongs to.

Your entries need to be submitted by 8 AM Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.

Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically enter other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 200 SBD in total.

Please see the winner of Asian Sunday and give him your support if you like his image to be the one winning the weekly price and entering the other stages of the 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge. You can vote for him by upvoting his winner announcement post below:

@jpphotography Asian Sunday entry:

The Malaysian island Langkawi is an amazing place to explore by scooter! After one day of driving around the island, I found myself looking at this beautiful sunset, so I stopped on the roadside to capture the silhouette of this mosque in the last light of the day.

NaturalBridgeCave.jpg

The Natural Bridge is a naturally formed rock arch over Cave Creek, a tributary of the Nerang River. It was formed from a waterfall which undercut a cave beneath the waterfall and dug a pothole on top, until the two joined and the creek flowed through the cave, leaving an arch across the front. The bridge is located in Springbrook National Park in the Gold Coast hinterland of Queensland, Australia.

That is a magical photograph. I love the way the light is shining down into the water. Beautifully done.

Thanks . How is whisky Wednesday’s going ?

well... It hasn't "officially" launched to the public yet, but I have been testing it out on my own every few nights. Whiskey Wednesday may make an appearance on the 25th of April though... I am just sayin...

Thank you so much for your participation and this outstanding image!

Nice shot! I was looking for a photo of ours of the natural bridge to inlcude in our blogs about Queensland. Ours are old and not as pretty as yours ! Nice one. We love taking visitors there, the experience at night with all the glow worms in the case and along the path is just spectacular!

I like how that waterfall was splitted by that piece of lot in the middle. Such a beautiful shot!

Mt Cook

One more shot for NZ. While driving along the endless roads with almost no cars, we stopped several times to photography Mt Cook. It's the highest mountain in NZ and a beautiful motif. The color of the lakes in NZ are sometimes turquoise because of the glacier waters running into it.

What a tremendous entry! Thank you so much for your submission. Have a great day!

Thanks for the kind words.

NZ ❤️ Is this Lake Tekapo or Pukaki? We are fond memories of our trips to NZ as well. Same there is barely no cars it's beautiful!

Actually I guess it was Pukaki.

So beautiful, so blue!

Wow, this view is more than stunning!

I'm glad you liked the image:)

Along the coastline of Central Coast, NSW, there are a lot of different landscapes ranging from sandy beaches, steep cliffs, and rock pools like this picture here. I don't exactly remember where along the coast it was taken, I only remember the beautiful golden glow reflecting on the splashing waves, and the pink clouds reflecting on the rock pools. A truly beautiful scene.

I love all the different colors in this picture. Great job!

Thank you so much for your participation and your stunning entry. Tomas

While traveling along the south Australian coast,
I stopped in a place named coffin bay. The National Park was mind-blowing, near by the ocean, between bushes there is a small sand desert with only a few dunes but just enough to feel like being in the Sahara :)

Best to have the best oysters in Australia there - did you try them?

Actually no, I had some junk backpacker food!!! We were traveling and sleeping in the car, I can not recall what we really had for dinner but I can assure you it was wether pasta or rice 😂😂😂😂

ahah! Backpacker life!

What a great entry! Thank you so much for that. Tomas

This one of our most recent post on our steepshot feed as we are featuring beautiful Queensland where we live!
This photo was taken on a trip to Lady Musgrave, Queensland, Australia, which the Island the further south that you can access with a commercial tours on the Great Barrier reef. Boats usually leave from the town of 1770 or Bundaberg.
The visibility was incredible on that day and this little fella just swam past us! One of us dive while the other snorkel, on that day we could just see the same thing as the water was so clear and calm!

Amazing! Glad to have this beauty sneaking in my contest!

Could watch the photos for our hours reminding us of the experience. Glad to be back with you contest! Love it and love looking at all the submissions too :-)

I shot this picture at the outback of Australia (somewhere between Uluru and Alice Springs).
These horses are called Brumbys and they are wild! No stable, no farmer, only desert and wildness.
It was a spectacular moment to watch these animals passing by the road :)

Great to see Brumbys entering the contest!

Gunbarrel Highway. From the west to the middle of Australia. Almost 1400 km. Longest distance without fuel is about 500 km. No accomodation. So we found a campsite in the wild. Enjoy the beautiful colors of the outback.

That would be such a fun experience. This shot reminds me of safari in Africa.

That sure is something that you will remember for the rest of your life! Thank you for sharing with all of us.

When I went to New Zealand, I took this awesome photo of the "pancake rocks". They're located in south New Zealand in the "Paparoa-Nationalpark". ⛰
New Zealand is just absolutely stunning and I will definitely go there again! 😍

An awesome place! The weather was horrible when we were there , but it was the best trip of my life! Thanks for bringing back memories!

Thank you so much for your contribution! Tomas

Waves, surf, cliffs, bushland and lighthouses are what I dreamed to see in Australia and lucky for me they were abundant everywhere on the East Coast. In the distance that's Tacking Point Lighthouse near Port Macquarie, marking the end of a beautiful 9 km Coastal Walk. It is also a great spot for whale-watching.

This is a beautiful shot. It could be turned into a painting.

Thank you! Now I just have to learn now to paint :))

Excellent! Thank you for that!

I have never submitted a collage before, but I posted this photo on my blog today and think it fits as an Australian Monday submission that is a little different!

One of my favourite things about New Zealand's biggest city was the Auckland fish market. They have so many kinds of fresh fish there, that I decided to become a fish portrait photographer for the day. I put together a collage as the result of this extensive photo shoot.

01-jpp-20160130.jpg

That is such an awesome display. It reminds me of the fish markets in Japan when I was a kid. I hated that smell. That red one in the second row is my favorite.

Haha, I was too fascinated by all these fish to mind the smell :D

Great job! I definitely miss this kind of a fish selection in the Czech Republic!

I know what you mean, I also wish we had a selection like this in Germany!
