Hello fellow Steemians!
Welcome to my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - African Wednesday - where the winner of the weekly round will be able to participate for the total of 200 SBD!
Today, you can participate by submitting your personal pictures from your travels to the continent of Africa.
See the winner of the last week´s African Wednesday @thearned with the following entry:
I went traveling through 6 Southern Africa countries and one of my favourites is Namibia. This photo was taken in the Namib desert, of the Big Daddy dune... which is incredibly hard to climb.
Your entries need to be submitted by 8 AM Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.
Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically enter other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 200 SBD in total.
Please see the winners of the previous contests of the week and give them your support if you like their images to be the one winning the weekly price and entering the other stages of the 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge. You can vote for them by upvoting their winner announcement posts below:
7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Asian Sunday week #69 - winner announcement!
@vinceboisgard Asian Sunday entry:
Along the Hoogly river, the sun is slowly setting. The colours are very warm and this is the best time to hop on a boat and sail the waters to enjoy the view over amazing temples built on the river side.
7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Australian Monday week #69 - winner announcement!
@kekos Australian Monday entry:
Orange fiery sky under the bus station in New Brighton, Christchurch - the biggest city of south island of New Zealand. One of my nice memory for living in that suburb in Christchurch with architecturally unique pier and scenic coastline.
@axeman Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans entry:
Where cold meets warm. Too much stunning (even in my experience) and calm sunset at Curonian Spit, Lithuania. Deep winter and some nice icy frost formations on the beach sand. While warm colors of sunset making the overall view very unusual and contrasting. Enjoy the scenery!

The Al-Haramlik Palace
The Al-Haramlik Palace, at the Montaza Palace complex in the Al-Montaza royal gardens in Alexandria, Egypt. Perfect place to get some rest even from the hot Egyptian sun. Shot in the morning while traveling with tourists bus, so the sun was just rising behind the palace
Enjoy the scenery!

Admiring the sunset over the Nile, in Luxor, Egypt. A ride on a Felucca is a nice way to end a day exploring temples and tombs. There is always a way to relax and escape the city noise if we take the time to enjoy every moment of the day.

What looks a little bit like an important place is no palace but our hotel in Tunisia ~ 😄⭐️ ~
We visited the continent years ago and were quite lucky with our housing all in white...! I remember to be most impressed with the palm trees and the ocean though...! Beautiful lanterns as one can see were also present at this specific spot ~ reminding one of the European home & heritage even when far away from same :)
