Hello fellow Steemians,
I hope you are all having a great day! :) As usually, I am here with my daily photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below.
The best 15 entries of the day will get my upvote. I will then pick the absolute winner of the day from these 15 photos. The winning photo will be awarded with a bigger upvote and it will also be featured as the cover image for the challenge post the next day to give the author of the winning shot some more exposure and publicity.
Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words and let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.
There were many great entries submitted in the yesterday Prague/Czech Republic photo challenge and I had a hard time picking the best one. After a deliberate consideration, however, I decided to choose the following entry by @mariainesff:
Okoř Castle. The ruins of this mid-fourteenth-century castle lie about seven miles northwest of Prague. The name Okoř is thought to be related to the word ‘kořen’, or ‘root’, and is the subject of a colourful tale in which Přemysl the ploughman, founder of the Přemsylid dynasty, is said to have stumbled on a tree-root on the way to his stronghold at Vyšehrad.

Unusual side view of the city hall in the center of Opava. Founded in 1224 as a royal city, Opava is the capital city of the Silesian part of the Czech Republic. Renowned for many stunning architectural pieces dating back to different eras, the city is home to almost 60,000 people.
I have to head to Opava one day:)... Have not been there in ages!

The Priessnitz sanatorium building is located in a spa area on a hill above the town of Jeseník in the Moravian - Silesian Region of the Czech Republic. It is one of the most important spa facilities in the country. The sanatorium was named after the founder of water-treatment Vincenz Priessnitz.
The Czech Republic is not just repaired and shiny monuments. They are also dilapidated monuments. Mainly in areas where many tourists do not go. An example may be the chapel of the Holy Spirit and the Holy Grave in Liběchov, which is located near Mělník. From this place is just spectacular view on the town of Melnik and the Elbe River lowlands. There is also a chateau in Liběchov which was damaged during the flood in 2002. It has not been repaired, but it will be written next time.
Great entry! Good to see the other side of the coin as well. I would like to add that we are still way ahead since in some countries those monuments are the top.
The Gothic castle was built around 1300 to defend the trade route to Saxony. In the 15th century it was acquired by Lobkovicova - Bohuslav Hasištejnský of Lobkovice, a renowned scholar and traveler, gathering numerous collections of art objects and literature in the castle. In the middle of the 16th century the castle was abandoned and dilapidated. Its dominant feature was the well-preserved cylindrical tower with a view, as well as vast underground spaces.

Buildings with tall towers in every community or society is symbollic. This tower and the building is the Brno castle. I have several pictures from various angles of the castle. Put in front of the castle is the famous Franz Kafka metallic face symbol. Get closer to Czech and enjoy history
doll shop
**One of the brightest impressions of visiting Prague for me is ... doll shop. We inadvertently come into the souvenir shop. There were a dolls! I was shaken by masterfully made things. Friends literally forcibly took me out of the store. However, I could not resist and on the last day I spent a fair amount of money. I bought a knight, a king and a princess :-)
We are actually well known for making those.
The Church of the Sacred Heart of the Lord has been in the this competition many times. Even the Žižkov transmitter was here ...
But I want to tell this photo that the two buildings are 500 meters apart. And that Prague is actually a relatively small town. When you are standing in one place, you just have to turn around your axis and see five, seven, ten... views that are worth seeing around you.
And if your legs hurt, there is a good public transport service here.
Here we have Bouzov Castle hiding in the forest. Bouzov Castle is an early 14th-century fortress first mentioned in 1317 and located 28 kilometres northwest of Olomouc. Bouzov was established at the turn of the 14th century with the purpose to watch over the trade route from Olomouc to Loštice.

Old Town Square
A central place not to be missed, where everything happens, filled with life, where the traveling artists and musicians make their show and entertain the people! With lots of terraces or land, beautiful breweries and restaurants! There is something for everyone! Circles of monuments to visit! A very beautiful place, with lots of small huts of small craftsmen and dishes to eat on the go! Top!
