Ralph and Claire travels #5: Grand Hotel Taipei

Today I want to share you a beautiful hotel that we visited during our vacation in Taipei-the Grand Hotel. It is one of the most visited Landmark in Taipei.

The Grand hotel is located in Yuanshan in Zhongshan district, Taipei. For us, it is a quick taxi ride from the hotel where we stayed.

Back in the day, Chiang Kai-Shek felt the need to have a beautiful hotel where he can let the Ambassadors(/Presidents) stay while they’re in business in Taipei. Thus, the Grand Hotel was built.

Since we only have limited time to look around, we only have few photos from the hotel lobby. I love how grand the decors! Made it so taiwanese feeling to me.

The hotel has 12 floors with 490 rooms in it according to websites wher you can book hotels. It also has 3 restaurants where guests can enjoy Taiwanese cuisine! Yummmmm! An average of $130 per night stay in this hotel is sure worth it.
