A song of a generation sad, what is the real bressanon?

in #travel7 years ago

I think people born in the late '70s and' 80s probably heard an English song: "bressanon". The song, written by Canadian musician Matthew lane in his 20s, is filled with pastoral, distant, nostalgic and melancholy melodies that make people feel sad. Of course, the song was once rated as the world's saddest song.
After all these years, we are no longer teenagers. Be busy with daily trivial things, no matter how tired, also need to push on. Overwhelmed by the information of the fragmented era, it is becoming less and less aware of itself and the world. Even the student's own, favorite songs, may be gradually forgotten.
I went on a business trip to Austria, deliberately delayed for a few days, wanted to walk around, accidentally found the name of bressanon on the map, right next to Austria. Just as I had an iron ticket, I took the train from innsbruck to bressanon, which was more than an hour's drive. The train from Munich to Venice was one of them.
Into the middle of December, always endless snow of Europe, from Germany to Austria, to the mountains in northern Italy, continuous snow-capped mountains, entered the bressanone, only a few snow, withered tree trunks. I saw the sign and thought, this is bressanon.

At the railway station, the room was fixed. The front desk was a beautiful Italian girl and handed me a heavy key, not a room card. I asked her in half-baked English, OK? She says you can check out when you check out. Maybe you'll want to stay for a day or two.
After putting things away, we went into the town of bressanon. This town is not as small as I think it is, or a little bit of scale. Access to a number of beautiful houses, you can see, this is where the rich live. There were also buildings and churches in the mountains, but it was too much trouble. I walked twice and couldn't find the right way, and came down again. Back at the center of the town, in the cathedral square, it's the Christmas market. Traditionally, the Christmas market opens a month before Christmas, and everyone is standing in the market drinking hot wine and eating sausages.
Bressanon is not a very characteristic tourist town, nor is it a well-known tourist destination. However, because of a song, make it become world famous. In fact, they made their way in the town of pebble, already doesn't matter what scenery beauty or not beauty, because the music melody always again and again in the ear ring, at this moment, I can easily recall childhood ah, love, ah, when I was a child, and victor's troubles.
When the time passes, I suddenly realize that I have entered middle age, no matter what kind of achievement, can not replace the years. Perhaps life is a journey, full of sorrow, watching the train leave from bressanon, I think, I will soon be on the way home.

Bressanon's lyrics:
I'm on the ground.
The stars hung high overhead.
The starlight is shining over brenner.
All the way to the far end.
Darling, please return my hand.
I have to turn around.
The train will take me forward.
And my heart will stay.
Oh, my heart will stay.
The dark clouds were flying by my side.
The moon was hurrying along the road.
I have left the stars behind me.
To make your sky bright.
Darling, please return my hand.
I have to turn around.
The train will take me forward.
And my heart will stay.
Oh, my heart will stay.
