Illinois

in #travel7 years ago

I traveled to Illinois a little bit ago to attend a friends wedding. It was about 15 minutes away from St Louis. It was seriously one of the prettiest places I had seen in a while! Here are a few of the pictures I snapped while there :)

I also went and spent a little time in St. Louis on the trip. Being from Missouri originally, I had been to St. Louis plenty of times before, but never to the arch. It was super cloudy that day, which made for some cool pictures I thought ;)

Beautiful pictures... Is it becoming autumn already? Wish we had autumn here - very pretty colours! Resteeming

Why thank you, that's very nice :)
It's not quite autumn here yet, I took these a little bit ago. I can't wait though because it's the best season! I'm sorry you don't get to have an autumn. What's the weather like where you live? Is it always summer like? Because with autumn comes winter and winter is dreadful lol. Wouldn't mind giving that up ;)

You're most welcome! Here, it's always hot, humid and rains off and on!! Lol - no other weather, or season... :)

Illinois seems lovely! Very nice pictures :)
Thank you for sharing

Thanks! It is quite lovely

This is outstanding. Nice view and refreshing, we should save mother earth to keep thid place as is.

Couldn't agree more!!

Looks like it was a wonderful trip! Such delightful pictures. Thanks for sharing them @amberquamme

Thanks! It really was. I actually performed the ceremony for the brides shown above. I have been friends with one of them for 20 years. It was so cool to get to be such a big part of their special day :)

Wow, you should frame some of those pictures, that is one of the things I miss the most about the north. The colors of the leaves in the fall and the smell of wood in a real fireplace. By the way since you are in Missoury if you like to listen to anything for personal development, look up Andy Frisela. He has a podcast called the MFCEO Project that goes live every week and it is free. Truely life changing for personal development, not exactly work safe because he tends to speak freely as far as F bombs and such, but as real as it gets.

Thanks, I'll check it out! I'm from MO ( and all my family still loves there) but I live in Nebraska now. It's pretty too, but not nearly as magnificent in the fall as MO and Illinois.
Smell of wood: so much YES! I love it too. There is some line of candles (From Bath and Body Works/White Barn I think) that have a "Fireside"scented candle and it is fantastic! If you can find it around I highly recommend it. It will help you with your wood smelling desires lol :)

That sounds amazing, I snapshot this and going to look for it, we have B & bw nearby

Awesome! I think they are seasonal so they should be out now, if not pretty soon. They usually come out with the Autumn scents.

You have some nice posts!

Hey thanks! :)
