Uber Canada GM says ‘no one is more committed’ to safety, but cautions against ‘superficial’ training requirements ahead of city report

in #transportation6 years ago (edited)

I  don't find taxi drivers any better then uber drivers so their  'training" is useless...why would a Uber driver with over 5000 pick ups  and a 4.9 out of 5.0 rating need training?

Taxi Driving Training at Senaca College
Cost $575.00 (includes taxes) a 25 hour program
City of Toronto and AODA rules
·  Customer service (Uber you are potentially rated by the rider after  every pick up so you better be good as a consistent low rating will get  you ousted)
· Communication skills (it helps if you can speak English)
· Map reading (Uber driver app gives you directions)
· Geography (Uber driver app gives you directions)
· Meter and tablet operation (Uber driver app is easy to use )
· Paperwork requirements (Uber requires no paperwork)

yes taxi training would be superficial for Uber drivers

If you like my posts and would like to drive for Uber...please   use my referral code 11u3mue...also good for $20.00 off your first ride   with Uber    Anyone try Turo for car rentals?
