You're definitely right I think trading against the trend is a bad move when looking at the altcoin cycle, but I think that's what comes with the panic rise of Bitcoin and traders seems to want to pull off all their altcoin in order to buy Bitcoin, you also made another point Looking at the last coin that led the market I do think afterall people are gonna keep making these mistakes because to me the altcoin will have their time. Like you pointed out, patience to trade is key. I'm a bit lost with the chart analysis but no matter, I'll just keep watching again
