Amazon HQ2

I have been reading a lot about the proposed Amazon HQ2 and how they will add jobs (upwards of 50k) which of course is a positive thing. But, as the more I read about this process, does anyone read into this more as I have been? By this I mean, Amazon is affect has pinned Countries and Cities against each other. In the end, they will end up receiving a boat load of incentives, which could lead to zero taxes, low to zero loans to build out the location, cities paying for improvement to roads and mass transit. Has anyone also realized how Amazon is total playing into FOMA (Fear of Missing Out), your thoughts???
