Bad Thought

It has always been that human life unfolded individually and over generations as an iterative progression of consciousness developing in reference to the ground of physical reality, of which it was a part.

Are we approaching a world where the ground of physical reality is increasingly being covered over by the fruits of our own consciousness in the form of technology? Where we increasingly live in reference to the products of our consciousness, such that contact with the ground of physical reality will always be hidden by mediation through our technology?

Is the day coming in which human life will be an iterative progression of consciousness developing in reference to itself?

Does it look like the circle will be closed?

What will we be then?
