Friend, I suggest you to read Shrimad Bhagavad Gita. In the Gita you will found what practical life and how the universe really work.
That book guided me a lot when I was depressed.
Thanks for recommendation. Would also recommend to check out Swami Vivekananda. There is a book with thousands of pages someone collected all his work and put together on the Amazon Kindle store. Extreme high value and high level thinking he see things from so many perspectives and is very nuanced in his thinking. Probably one of the best thinkers in history. His ability to perceive nature and life just wow.
Yeah. But for me Gita is a manual to how to live the life. A book that provides very practical explanations to live peacefully.
Swami does the exact same thing.
