A very good development. Plastic is a serious problem for earth and mankind. They even found tiny plastic parts in plankton. These tiny parts end up in our bodies eventually.
Most of the fish can bring the plastics onto our plates indeed. Plankton, wow, also those little ones! Not in the one celled plankton I assume, but there are also bigger ones.

Apparently all big plastic will end up being that small, becomes micro-plastics. The start will be made to take the big pieces out of the ocean's so this can never degrade to the micro plastics anymore. But I suppose, for years to come we will get some of the ocean's plastics in our own body. But at least we are working on the cleaning side of things. At the same time we have to work on the cause side of things; But this is very difficult, since open waters are under no real control by anybody in the world, hence people do whatever they please.
