The Great Ceramics Giveaway #1

IMG-0434.jpg hand-carved porcelain incense burners

The great ceramics giveaway begins! Over the coming 5 weeks I’ll be giving away plates, mandalas, little tumblers, glaze paintings, and other miscellaneous ceramic art I've made to give thanks for all that this wonderful community has given me.

This first giveaway will have 2 winners, 1 porcelain incense burner each, please spread the word!

These are raw pigmented porcelain, made from the end pieces from our Cloud Collection of tiles. Rob @greyhawk hand carves each one and then it is sanded before and after firing so the surface is incredibly smooth and silky.

In case you like to know, retail Value is $36 each and if you‘d like to see a larger context for the making of these items, here is a post from last year about them: https://steemit.com/art/@natureofbeing/throw-away-gems.

Would you like to win one? Please do the following:

Get the word out about this giveaway series by either resteeming this post or by writing your own post and tag me and this giveaway within your post.

  • use the tag #greatceramicsgiveaway
  • put a link to your post in the comments here or write a comment noting that you have opted to resteem instead.
  • NOTE: Steemians with mailing addresses outside of the USA are welcome to enter, but you must be willing to help with 4 STEEM/SBD towards the shipping. I’m sorry about this but International shipping rates for a box from the US are just too much to handle on top of the item.
  • optional: in your comment you can also note your favorite one

The contest will be over at the end of the day Wednesday June 6.

I will write down the names of every one who comments below with a link to his/her post or notes a resteem, and I will draw two winners out of a super special loving cup.

The winner will be announced in a post the next day and as the winner you’ll need to comment on that post about how best to contact you privately to learn where to ship you your gift.

Please spread the word for my Great Ceramics Giveaway, I’d like to be able to give as many items as possible over the next 5 weeks or so!

You, dear Steemians have made SUCH a difference in my life, thank you!

LOL, awesome, I love it!!!

Resteemed. 💚 It's hard to choose, but the one that is colored such that it looks like it has a shadow on it with the gray half is my favorite. Thank you for this awesome giveaway!

Great, thanks for entering and your preference is noted ;-))

This is such a fun idea and a great way to help spread the love. I won't be 'officially' entering, but I will share your post of course so others will have the opportunity. I'll happily buy one once you are moved 'out East' :)

Thank you Donna!
I will tell you that it's likely we won't be making more of these. They happened at a certain time and I think that phase is over if you know what I mean. Lmk if you want to enter. Also later in the giveaway series I will probably include more of these incense burners since I have about 10 so you'll have second chance if you change your mind.

Good work, @natureofbeing, happily resteemed 🙏🏼

Yay, you are entered ;-)))

Thank you :) As a bird lover, I’m very fond of feathers—so much so, that the cover of my latest book is entirely composed of them: 710C61B2-B14A-4E13-BF78-F10B4927B0E3.png

It's really a gorgeous book cover and beautiful use of feathers. I too LOVE feathers and have tons of them I've saved over the years - everything from turkeys to robins to eagles.

Thank you, I like the idea of a feather in space, and book designers were kind enough to indulge me :) Such evocative things, feathers... your collection sound enviable: eagles! Over the years, I've been lucky to have peacocks, duck and (much to my wife's dismay) pigeon feathers (all over the house). Soar on, my friend!

What a beautiful way to give back Ruth. I'm sure there will be many happy winners this month. Well done.

thanks Dan! I imagine that you won't want to travel with a hunk of clay with you, however beautiful and/or useful, lol, so I won't enter you. But someday, I will give you a piece of mine ;-)

I almost wrote I don't have an address to receive it or room in my backpack to store it! lol But I thought that was a bit too much. It's best someone get's this beautiful piece of art that has a place to put it and use it. :)

I love what you are doing! (^^)
This is really great work of art! I am like you... But my art are made by barbecue stick / bamboo. Let me follow you to see your art! (^
^)

thank you @kennyroy and i'd love to see your barbeque stick/bamboo art! I don't see it in your feed, but there are lots of other wonderful articles so I've followed you. Thanks for your kind words and support!

Thanks! Still working on it while doing other things... Very soon I will post it... Step by step...

totally understand!

Great idea! I would like to have a piece of your work, a piece of your creativity in my hands. I see and feel how much soul you put into your creations. And that makes them really special and valuable.
