Childhood Memories
I wish I had written more diary posts on Steemit. At least I could start a lot earlier because whenever I read a diary a lot of thoughts come to my mind. I wish I had shared this or that with my Steemian friends.
I guess I am lucky as I have a sharp memory so I remember a lot since I was not even five. I can remember a few stuff even before I started going to school. Whenever I saw villagers walking with their cattle for grazing to the forest areas, I wanted to follow them.
Back in those days we used to live in rural area as my father was an agriculture engineer and posted as a vice principal in an agricultural institute. I remember I went to the hostel where the students of that college lived. That hostel area was closed to our official residence as my father happened to be the warden of that campus.
I remember most of those boys, used to cook their own food as there was no mess facility in that institute. They offered me food they cooked so I would visit different rooms on different days and taste different foods.
We lived in a rural area where modern amenities weren't available at that time, but our lives were very close to nature. In that simple environment, we lacked the glitz and glamour of city life, but the natural beauty of the trees, the open sky, and the gentle breezes that all enriched our lives.
I felt a different experience listening to the birds, watching a clear sunrise and the simple people living outside our colony. We heard their melodious music every night that brought immense peace to our hearts.
Even today, when I remember those moments, I yearn to return to the lap of nature. And perhaps that's why, whenever I get a chance, I head out to nature.
These memories of living so close to nature make my childhood incredibly special. It's like a tender touch.
Those childhood memories are still very dear to my heart. I remember running through the lanes of my village with my friends, playing in the shade of trees, and smelling the fragrance of the fields.
I believe that even though we didn't have modern amenities, the simple life we led, the time spent with our families and the families of other professors, and playing in nature and those memories still give me true happiness. Those days still bring back feelings of warmth and contentment, and connect me to the true essence of life.
I am sure if you are associated with such moments in your life, you will relate with me and feel the importance of family, nature, and simple joys that provide a different inspiration throughout our lives.
