The Diary Game , my journey to Ikono 6/06/2025.
Ikono is a Local Government situated in Akwa Ibom state Nigeria , they are blessed with fertile soul wereby many of the indeginous people are into cultivation of crops and other raw materials.
I have often heard that there's beauty in grey headedness. I met my grandparents and the little while we spent together was worthwhile,
We went along with plenty to eat and drink as custom Will have it in Our Village.
We brought alongside plenty to eat and drink like wine, fruits e.g like pineapple, pawpaw coconut etc... getting there I and my other sisters made coconut Rice and chicken pepper soup 👇
A family that eats together live together
We all gathered together to eat but first we thanked our creator and maker In Prayer before we began eating. As we were all eating , my grandfather began telling us a story while we pay attention carefully and also asked questions, our grandmother went in to the kitchen to bring more food for us making sure that we all eat to satisfaction, we really enjoyed ourselves..
A Story By Our Grandfather
My grandfather still owns a wheelbarrow He bought since 1990 at about twenty Naira, just imagine!, I was so surprised as I hear Him mentioned that the wheelbarrow was gotten before some of my older siblings were born..

Grandfather told us lots of stories about Ikono and it's beautiful inhabitants and how well they've been nice and kind when He fell sick .. My Grandfather kept praising them and praying for a better and united family.. My grandparents were so happy to welcome us, I could see them smile often times , they were a lot of laughter
On Our Way To The River
Ikono is blessed with A clean and spacious river were we often go for swimming during our visit to our grandparents ... I was so happy I was going to swim, we all came along with Extra wears and caps for our hair as ladies..
Time to journey back
Immediately we noticed it was sun down we all rushed out of the river so we can get to our destination on time thus, grandma gave us lots of stuff to take home, like
Palm oil, herbs, coconut etc.. we got home all tired as we all had our bath and retired for the day..
