The 5 Laws of Gold from The Richest Man in Babylon
Hello Steemit People
My #2 Favorite Prosperity book of all time is the 1926 classic: The Richest Man in Babylon. I read this book at least once every quarter to remind me of the principles contained within.
I have only been practicing these principles for 6 years and already I am financially independent, I will be ready to retire in probably 5 years. I owe it all to books like these.
The 5 Laws of Gold have stood the test of time for over 5000 years. These laws are especially valid in today’s world what with the World Monetary System about to collapse.
Regardless of whether you store your wealth in gold, silver, bitcoin, or steem, it’s important to always manage and grow your wealth properly. Below you will find the 5 Laws Of Gold, the same laws that were carved into clay tablets and forgotten beneath the desert sand over 5000 years ago.
Note: If your wondering about the use of the masculine gender it is because this book was written in 1926. Just so you don’t think i’m a sexist.
I also created a video and uploaded it to my YouTube channel so you can watch it when you want to re-enforce these valuable laws into your mindset. (It’s only 1:15)
The 5 Laws Of Gold
I. Gold cometh gladly and in increasing quantity to any man who will put by not less than one-tenth of his earnings to create an estate for his future and that of his family.
II. Gold laboreth diligently and contentedly for the wise owner who finds for it profitable employment, multiplying even as the flocks of the field.
III. Gold clingeth to the protection of the cautious owner who invests it under the advice of men wise in its handling.
IV. Gold slippeth away from the man who invests it in businesses or purposes with which he is not familiar or which are not approved by those skilled in its keep.
V. Gold flees the man who would force it to impossible earnings or who followeth the alluring advice of tricksters and schemers or who trusts it to his own inexperience and romantic desires in investment.
You may scoff at the simplicity of these laws but ask yourself how many people do you know that would have much more prosperous lives if they would but follow even a ONE of these laws. I am as guilty as the next person, I wasted my 20s and all of the money I have now is because of the savings I accumulated in my 30s.
Just remember the most powerful ideas in life are simple.
