How did I find the Alliance?

I've been cruising around Steemit for close to two weeks now creating, finding, following, engaging, looking for communities filled with like minded creatives trying to make this a great place. I believe I came across a post by @tattoodjay talking about adopting a minnow on one of my feeds. Which struck a note, because, well, I'm a minnow. And being adopted by someone who's going to help me grow in this community, help get me feet underneath me, is one of the things I'm seeking. So, I followed the #adoptaminnow tag which led me to a humorous post by @poeticsnake on adopting a bunch of minnows, which then led me to @whatsup and @brandyb. From there it was post to post to post until I finally wandered on to the Discord channel. I read the 'how to apply message,' and so here I am :)

Why do I want to be here?

Who wouldn't want to be a part of a community that cares about each other and actively works to help each other? But, seriously, the vibe of all the members I ran across in the various posts seemed to resonate with me. We're all seeking a place to be able to do our creative thing, make a living doing it, and build a community with like-minded people. I want to be around people who inspire me to always be creating, collaborating, be trying new things. Yeah, you can do it on your own out there, but I've tried that for long enough on other platforms, and I've found I like the company of people so much more :)

What qualities do you have that would make you a valued member of the family?

I love to create. I love to help. I love connecting. In the two or so weeks I've been here my content flow has only increased, and I don't just mean what I post. I've found this new energy engaging with other peoples posts, asking questions, commenting, joking, because people answer back.

People actually care about what you're saying to them, what you think, what you say. I've been tainted by other platforms and the marketing nightmare they've become, ruining the organic communities that fostered their original growth. And, like I said, this new energy has grown, spurring me to seek other people like me. Like people in the Alliance.

I'm a photographer, a videographer, a writer, an explorer, and so much, more. I thrive on creating content that others will enjoy, and I'm always trying to get better at what I do. When people react to what I do, I work even harder to do even better. As to what specifically I'm focused on...well, think of a lighthouse with that rotating light...or Saruman's fiery eye might be better...I look at something for a while, go deep, and when done, move on to the next topic.
